Pablo García Joins Real Murcia On Loan
Pablo García has joined la Primera newcomers Real Murcia on loan for a year from Real Madrid after being told that he was not part of Bernd Schuster's plans.
The Uruguayan international is the 11th new face to join Lucas Alcaraz' squad this summer and will command a first-team place in their bid to survive.
After joining Madrid in 2005, García enjoyed one season at the Bernabéu before shipped out on loan to Celta Vigo last term.
Injuries prevented him from helping the Galician club from maintaining their top flight status as he made only seven appearances.
Following two seasons in Italy, with AC Milan and Venezia, the 30-year-old joined Osasuna in five years ago and became an idol at the Pamplona-based outfit.
His passing and aerial strength stood out, but it was García's tackling and no-nonsense approach that saw him make the headlines.
At international level, García has appeared 68 times for Uruguay and scored five times, including an impressive strike against Venezuela in the Copa América recently.
Real Murcia's busy summer has seen them also bring in Mario Regueiro from Valencia, Enrique De Lucas from Alavés and Paco Gallardo from Sevilla, amonth others.
