The Messi and Barca quotes are funny. The same tactic was used with Juve during this transfer saga. The reporter asks him a direct question ie: "Would u like to play with Messi?". I dont expect him to say no, as that points to something personal. Its the reporters luring them in. Regardless, the fact remains that he had agreed a contract in principle with Juve b4 (and over) Barca, but Zaragoza were the stumbling block. He wanted to play in Italy because of his Italian ancestry, and that sounds very valid to me, especially since Argentina and Italy are close nations. There are many Italians in Argentina (look at the names), and vice versa.
In the end, its worked out well for both Juve and Barca. Juventus arent in CL next season, so it was a wiser decision to go for the cheaper option in Andrade, as it leaves us with some extra cash if we want to make another signing. Picking between Milito and Andrade is splitting hairs. They're both great cb's.
