Saha fit for the new season

Louis Saha is continuing his rehabilition from a knee injury after a successful operation in America earlier this month and is expected to be fit for the start of the new season, the club have confirmed.

The Frenchman had hamstring and knee problems in the second half of last season, limiting him to just four starts in 2007.

The club said in a statement: "Louis underwent surgery in the USA earlier this month to treat a knee problem that developed at the end of last season.

"Louis is currently continuing his rehabilitation in France under guidance from the specialist and the Club's medical team.

"He is making good progress and is expected to be fit for full training by the start of the new season."
