David Price became the top pick of Major League Baseball's 2007 First-Year Player Draft on Thursday when the Devil Rays exercised the first pick to select the junior left-hander from Vanderbilt University.
During a conference call held after his selection, Price, 21, called it an honor to be the top pick of the Draft and to be joining the Rays, adding, "Now that it's over with, it feels good."
