Marek wants Saints deal
Quote:
Marek Saganowski has told Southampton he wants to sign a permanent deal with the club even if they fail to reach the Premiership.
The Poland international striker, who joined on loan from Ligue 1 side Troyes in January, has been in brilliant form for The Saints, scoring 10 goals in 11 starts.
But, while Southampton's playoff hopes are in the balance after their 2-1 defeat to Derby in the semi-final first leg, Saganowski has suggested he is happy to remain with the club whatever happens.
"The Premiership is the best league in the world and the standard of the Championship is also very high," he told The Sun.
"I like the way Saints play. Their style suits me.
"I'm not a player who craves popularity. I prefer to move quietly about the town with my family. To get encouragement from the fans is all I want."
