Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has hinted Bojan Krkic could play a role in the club's title chase.

After handing a senior debut to the 16 year-old striker in last week's friendly against Egypt's Al Ahly, Rijkaard spoke with Barca B staff about promoting the youngster to the first team squad for the rest of this season.

Yesterday, Rijkaard said: "The player could be involved in some games (this season) and training sessions. His time has already arrived. He may be young, but he has the talent and quality to compete at this level."
