Injury boost for United

Sir Alex Ferguson will be able to call on Rio Ferdinand and John O’Shea for Saturday’s match against Middlesbrough to ease his defensive injury concerns.

Patrice Evra was the latest name added to the list of casualties which includes Ferdinand, O’Shea, Gary Neville, Nemanja Vidic and Mikael Silvestre.

Evra was on the end of a late challenge from Colin Kazim-Richards and had to go off with a calf injury after 21 minutes of the 2-1 win over Sheffield United.

“It was a bad tackle, but we don't know the extent of the injury yet,” Sir Alex told Sky Sports. “He'll have a scan in the morning.”

thats all we know so far about evra for now.good news that o'shea and rio will be back.the weekend game will help o'shea and rio to gain back fitness in time for the milan game.
