Ziegler Hopes To Honour Sampdoria Shirt
The newly purchased Blucerchiato player presented himself to the new fans and declared his happiness at having joined such an important side.
German wing-back, Reto Ziegler, is the latest acquisition of Sampdoria after joining the Italian club from Tottenham Hotspurs in the past days during the January transfer window.
Ziegler also spoke about his expectations and his preferred position on the playing field.
"This is a team of great tradition; I want to honour the shirt I'm wearing.
"I play on the left; I often played in midfield, but also a bit backwards. I think that's my future, as a full-back who attacks often. I hope to acclimate myself as soon as possible."
Sampdoria sit in a mid-table position as they are in 10th place, 8 points above the relegation zone, but just 6 points away from a Champions League spot, with the Blucerchiati's main aim for this season being a Uefa Cup place.
