Skysports.com can confirm that Southampton have acquired Troyes striker Marek Saganowski on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Saints had been impressed with the Polish international during a trial period earlier in the month and have now secured his services for the second half of the Championship campaign.
Saganowski only joined Troyes in the summer from Vitoria Guimaraes but has struggled to make an impression in Ligue 1.
After failing to score in six outings this season the striker will now try his luck on the South Coast, and the deal is believed to include an option for a longer stay.
"Poland international striker of ESTAC Marek Saganowski has been loaned with an option until the end of the season to English club Southampton," Troyes press officer Eric Vigneron told skysports.com.
Southampton are yet to confirm the arrival of the player who will join compatriot Grzegorz Rasiak at St Mary's.

I wonder what's the need with a new striker when they have Rasiak, Jones and Wright-Phillips who all have done well so far this season.
