Medical Bulletin: 20th December
The day after the trip to Bologna, and two days before the team’s final game of 2006, at home to Arezzo, the club’s medical team - led by Dr Riccardo Agricola - have released the following medical bulletin.
Camoranesi: withdrew from the field at the end of the first half at the Dall’Ara with a strained flexor muscle in his right leg. The extent of the injury will be evaluated tomorrow when he undergoes scans. He will presumably be rested for a few days and is unlikely to feature in Friday’s game.
Belardi: underwent surgery this morning on a lesion in his left knee. The operation was carried out at the Fornaca Clinic by Professor Quaglia. The goalkeeper should be available again in a month’s time.
Tudor: to overcome the problems with his right ankle once and for all (operated on back in August), the player has been sent, by his own agreement, to a centre specialising in foot treatment. The Croatian has in fact been in Belgium for the last few days, receiving physiotherapy. He is scheduled to return Turin at the end of the first week of January.
Marchionni: has suffered serious after-effects from the bruising to his right knee suffered during the game with Brescia on November 1st. It has therefore been decided that he resume work in the gym. He should return to the training ground straight after the winter break.
Legrottaglie: his shoulder has not suffered any complications since the operation and he has now resumed running work on the training round. He will still need another month before he is able to train with the rest of the group.
