Belletti back in 17-man squad for Villarreal game (24 Nov 2006)
Brazilian wingback Belletti is back in the squad for Saturday's game but Motta (illness) and Márquez (ankle) are both carrying injuries and have been rested.
Juliano Belletti returns after a two-week absence due to the injury he picked up against Badalona in the Nou Camp on 8th November. However, on the downside, Thiago Motta and Rafael Márquez have both lost their battle to regain match fitness in time to play against Villarreal.
Belletti ready for action
Belletti returned to full training on Thursday afternoon but has been following an individual training programme since last Monday.
Motta and Márquez out
Motta and Márquez, who both missed training on Thursday, have finally been excluded from Saturday's squad. Motta is suffering from a temperature for which he is taking antibiotics. Club doctors will keep an eye on his progress over the next few days.
Meanwhile, Márquez has been unable to train normally due to the ankle injury he suffered on Wednesday. The Club's medical services are predicting that the player will be available again to the manager some time next week.
