Gillett willing to pump £450M into Liverpool

American tycoon George Gillett Jnr is willing to splash out to buy Liverpool.
Gillett Jnr is understood to have met with Liverpool chairman David Moores and chief executive Rick Parry in Canada earlier this week to discuss his takeover interest.

The Daily Telegraph says Gillett willing to invest a total of £450 million in Liverpool, but wants much of it going into the club for the stadium and players, and also wants to take full control and bring in his own people.

Liverpool chairman Moores is said to be unhappy with Gillett bringing in his own team and also the lack of money that will be paid to himself and existing shareholders.
