Jol: Spurs board back me

Quote:
Tottenham boss Martin Jol insists he is not worried about his job at White Hart Lane.

Spurs have endured a miserable start to the season and currently sit in the bottom three.

Last season's high-flyers have picked up just one win this term and face surprise package Portsmouth on Sunday at White Hart Lane.

Jol is not concerned by his side's slump in form and is adamant he has the full backing of the club's board.

"No I won't have to explain what's going on," said Jol.

"I always talk to my chairman anyway and his problem is my problem. Hopefully my problem is his problem as well.

"He always backs me up and knows what we want to do.

"He is working 18 hours a day for this club, so I can't complain about my chairman or board."

Meanwhile, Spurs are believed to be keen on Standard Liege midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the best young talents emerging in Europe and he is already a Belgian Under-21 international.

Fellaini claims Tottenham have spoken to his agent about a possible move to England.

"Spurs spoke to my agent and will continue to follow me," Fellaini told the News of the World.
