Apparently an ACL injury requires a rehabilitation period of 5 - 9 months. The earliest possible return would be March I imagine, that's if his rehabilitation goes perfectly well without any hitches. There's no chance they'll rush him though, so I think we're looking at March at the earliest before he's playing Premiership football again. But there's just as much chance he's out for the season, it's anyone's guess.

He was supposed to be having this surgery two months ago, hence why a January return was the original forecast. Put that back two months and we're looking at March for a hopeful comeback. Roeder said in his talk-in that "there's no point me saying he'll be back in March and then he misses the season", he tried to make it sound like that date was plucked out of thin air but I think that's probably what they're hoping for, if everything goes to plan (which, with us, it usually doesn't).
