Ironbound SC Media Relations
Newark, NJ July 6, 2006 Ironbound SC will host the second Family, Friends and Community Day of 2006 on Saturday, July 8th, a festival in celebration of its teams participating in the Super Y-League. This all day event will be held at NJIT’s Lubetkin Field in Newark with the club’s entire slate of SYL teams competing. Music, food, raffles and fun with halftime contests during each game will make this a fun summer event for all who attend.

The day is designed to showcase Ironbound SC teams participating in the Super Y-League, the only national youth league in the country. SYL is aimed at the top 1% of youth players and is part of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) system that serves as a feeder to MLS, PDL, USL Divisions 1 & 2 and the W- League. Ironbound SC is a founding member of the SYL representing the North Jersey area, part of the Mid-Atlantic Division.

The festival style soccer party is open to the public, the Ironbound community, friends and fans. Ironbound SC has also invited all its sponsors, team staffs, player parents and friends as a thank you for all their support. Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the entire day and can be enjoyed at the picnic area along side Lubetkin Field.

Ironbound SC will take on New Jersey rival, Parsippany Soccer Club's U13, U14, U16, U17 teams. The nightcap will feature a Super-20 League match between Ironbound SC and Long Island Rough Riders

This is the second of two planned Friends, Family and Community Days in the 2006 season, the first came on June 24th against Delaware club, Hockessin- United Futebol Academy with Ironbound SC taking 3 wins from 4 games that day. The U13 Gunners took a 5-1 result, U15 Blaze held on for a 1-0 win, U17 Warriors dominated play with a 4-0 win, the only loss by that day was a come from behind 1-2 result by U16 Crusaders.

Ironbound SC invites you to stop by, support and enjoy a day of soccer with teams competing at the highest level.
