Basically, we were pretty much shat!
The anticipation was rife, 8pm Monday was long in coming and finally it was kick-off, Bolton vs Spurs in a clash for 3rd place... Well, I don't know why I bothered tuning in!
OK, we were strong and fluid at times, I'll not deny that, but basically we were all over the place and seemed afraid of Bolton... The biggest problem of the night was that last ball, every time we were in a position to put that final ball through we fell to bits and played some dreadful and frustrating passes...
The one time we did finally break through to equalise Defoe was wrongfully called off-side by the Kunt of a linesman who basically cost us a point that would have put us in 3rd spot... Oh well, it happens to every team...
Lastly, we knew too well of the recent threat of Kevin Nolan, but we failed to pick him up allowing him to take arguably the goal of the season so far. Beautiful strike and I'll take nothing away from the fella, he looks very hot right now and we should have had him tightly marked...
Spurs couldn't have scored in a brothal last night and I think a little stint on the bench might be in order for Defoe to freshen and sharpen him up again and Robbie must be bursting to start a game a prove himself...
Thoughts?
