What? Beckham has always been used as a right winger, unless you followed his acadamy career closely I don't know how you could judge his ability as a central midfielder.

He is/was much better on the right where his crossing ability can best be utilised. He is poorly disciplined, particularly for England, where he seems to get the impression that being captain means he can choose where he wants to play. He is no more than average in the middle but on the right he is/was magnificent and very effective.

But meeting skeletor was the day it all started to go wrong.
