Carlo Ancelotti has insisted he has no intention of leaving Milan to take over at former club Roma.

Ancelotti is a favourite son of the Giallorossi, but has quickly moved to stop rumours that he will walk away from coaching Milan to return to the club.

"I can't go to Roma," said Ancelotti - who is still battling for the Serie A title and the UEFA Champions League.

"I'm happy to stay here with Milan, though obviously it is hard to say no to them.

"I don't need to wait until the summer to make a decision. I am staying at Milan."

Zdenek Zeman and Serse Cosmi are current favourites to be handed the role, although Cesare Prandelli could be a dark horse.
