Portuguese midfielder Hugo Viana could miss Newcastle's Champions League qualifier in Belgrade on Wednesday, after sitting out training on Saturday with with a back injury.
Viana is set to have a scan on the problem (Which is thought to be a strain in his back) on Monday morning. Whether or not he will travel to Serbia on that afternoon won't be decided on until the very last minute.
